If we look up the word ‘rigging’ in the dictionary it relates to the meaning of 'rigging' as used in the shipping industry.
Immediately the link with the word ‘rigging’ can be laid with the events industry. 'Decorating' of concert rooms, theatres, studios and other locations, which are used to organize events.

Not only the hoisting of the aforesaid systems offers advantage for the sightlines of the public, but also for the range of the sound systems.

With this 'decorating' we do not mean to decorate these locations, but to make (permanent) installations that are able to hoist the technical facilities.
One must think of constructions who are able to hoist on behalf of lights or hoisting of sound systems as well as the possibly to hoist setting attributes such as curtains etc. Also more and more 'flown' systems are used on behalf of video projection or video reproduction such as 'LED screens' and 'VIDIWALL' systems.

Hoisting several systems offers also advantages for assembling them. Now they no longer need to be piled up ‘by hand’, but by using for example electric chain hoists, they can be ‘hoisted’ and assembled as a result of which there is less physical effort necessary.
